BF and I are heading to Houston today to visit one of my best friends. This means two things: I won’t be posting again until Sunday and ROAD TRIP! My friend and I have known each other since middle school, and although we’ve been living in different cities for four years, every time we get together it feels like we just saw each other the day before.
On this weekend’s agenda are two things I can’t wait to do.

- We are going to NASA!
Lately, I’ve been on a local cultural indulgence plan, meaning I’ve been wanting to do things outside the typical shopping, movie, dinner routine. I’ve been trying to find interesting places around the city that I haven’t been to yet that I hear are so much fun. For example, I went to the Zoo a couple of weeks ago. I went for a walk around the lake we have here. It sounds like everyone does that, but for me it’s new because I typically don’t. I decided that since I’ve lived in Texas all my life and have NEVER been to NASA I might as well do it now with two of my favorite people. Call me a nerd, but space is cool!
2. Cooking Dinner and Making Fun Cocktails

So this is mainly for my friend’s and my enjoyment and not so much for BF’s, but he wins in the end when he gets to eat all the yummy food. I really do enjoy cooking with other people, not so much by myself. We found a recipe on Pinterest that looks so good. Now we are trying to find a delicious cocktail idea to go along with it. We came up with a few ideas, but I doubt BF wants to drink a pink concoction with strawberries floating in it.
I can’t wait to get to Houston to see my friend and have a great weekend! Y’all have a great weekend, too.
