My life is officially complete. Why? Because last night I saw Garth Brooks in concert at The Wynn Las Vegas.
I exaggerate a lot. I think that’s pretty obvious throughout my blog… (my bad), but I am not exaggerating when I say that this man is one of the most talented artists I’ve ever seen/heard. The radio does NOT do his voice justice. And as many know, he sounds freaking awesome on the radio.
His concert consisted of him, his guitar and me with a grin on my face the size of the Cheshire cat’s on Alice Wonderland.

He sang classics like “That Summer”, “Rodeo”, “Friends in Low Places”, “Unanswered Prayers” and my all-time favorite country music song (of all time. Yes I repeated it for dramatic effect), “Thunder Rolls”, complete with the exclusive missing verse. Oh yes, people. Shiz gets real in that verse. I bet most of you didn’t even know there was another verse to that song!
I loved every minute of this half-concert, half-comedy show that Garth so effortlessly put on. The audience even got a surprise when his wife, Trisha Yearwood, walked on stage and busted out a duet with her husband along with one of her number one hits, “She’s In Love With a Boy“.
Despite Vegas’ reputation of refusing to let its visitors remember much during their time there, this show was one to lock away in the memory bank.
Unfortunately, I learned that Garth Brooks no longer plans to renew his contract at the Wynn, therefore, his time in Las Vegas will end in November. I’m lucky that I was able to see my country favorite during one of his last stays in “Sin City”.
Glad you got to see him before November! Great post
