Firefighters. When I hear that name I think of 1) a Magic Mike routine (skip to 0:36 sec), 2) Halloween costumes, and 3) oh yeah, heroes.
Let’s focus on #3 today. Every day firefighters risk their lives to save people from horrible situations. It’s only fair that we take a moment to honor them in a pretty fun way.
Beginning today through Sunday, May 4, Bar Louie at the Villages at Stone Oak will host a celebration in honor of their first anniversary. Besides the amazing food and drink specials, Bar Louie is doing something even more admirable! All net sales of the event will go to the local Fire Station 46 in Stone Oak.
Bar Louie ‘Go Big’ specials include their famous signature martinis for $2, domestic drafts for $3 and specialty burgers for $5, offered daily from 11 a.m. until close throughout the celebration.
And get this! The party kicks off tonight with a Firefighter Date Auction from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. That’s right. You can bid for a date with some awesome men and women. Like the drink and food specials, the proceeds of the auction will go to Fire Station 46.
Bar Louie continues to give back on Firefighter Friday by inviting customers to enjoy live entertainment, ‘Go Big’ food and drink specials in effect until 2 a.m. and firefighter appearances from 4 to 7 p.m.
The celebration will end with a “Zumba for Firefighters” Master Club Class on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. on the Bar Louie Patio. The class will be led by Mario Gomez from Dále Fitness Family Fun Studio and will have a Latin club vibe with basic merengue, cha-cha, and salsa steps suitable for everyone – from beginners to experts – wanting to have fun. Firefighters will be present and participating.
We hope to see you there!
