This past Saturday I attendended a JuicePlus conference with my blogger friend (and former classmate), Natalie of That Foodie Girl. Natalie and her mom are both avid JuicePlus users and sellers of the product. For those of you unfamiliar with JuicePlus, it’s a whole food based nutrition, including juice powder concentrates from 25 different fruits, vegetables and grains.
Throughout the day, I listened to a variety of different speakers from the president of the company to the company’s #1 top seller to a few National Marketing Directors all sharing their stories about how JuicePlus has enhanced their lives.
While we were listening, Natalie gave me a few items to snack on before lunch. These blended fruit chewable were addicting, let me tell you. They reminded me of eating Gushers as a child, minus the burst of sugary syrup.
Once the day was over, Natalie and her mom gave me a few scoops of the Chocolate Drink Mix so I can try it at home. I was so excited to whip something because 1) I haven’t used my blender since I moved in (over a year ago), 2) I don’t normally make smoothies so I thought it’d be a fun treat, and 3) I can use my nifty new cup Natalie had given me.
I mixed about 4 tablespoons of the Chocolate mix with about a 1/4 of a cup of blueberries and 2/3 cup of milk.
And I was left with this filling smoothie. Not too bad! I need to go to the store and get more fruit to mix in. I’m thinking strawberries. Chocolate and strawberries sound perfect. 🙂
