When my sisters and I were younger our parents would take us almost every year to see The Nutcraker Ballet. I loved getting dressed up in pretty holiday dresses and going to the theater. I remember watching the beautiful girls spin around and around in gorgeous tu tus and the men leaping in the air across the stage. It was a sight. Continue reading
To say I’ve slacked on writing would be the understatement of the season. It’s been over a month since my last post! What is wrong with me? This morning I’ve made a commitment to end the silence! I’ve got my coffee, my E! News, and my cozy pink blanket. I’m ready to transcribe… Continue reading
After two whole years, I mean weeks (it seemed like years) without my Luna, she is finally home! Yesterday the trainer delivered her to my house, safe and sound.
I was worried Luna would be mad at us for leaving her with a stranger for two weeks, or forgetful of BF and I, but when she saw me around the corner her little butt (since she has no tail) started wagging so hard, her ears went back and she jumped up and gave me kisses! I don’t think she’s ever been that excited to see me before. It melted my little heart. Continue reading
Luna! Come back!!!
To say I miss this little bunny-butt would be an understatement. BF and I decided to contact a trainer because of Luna’s annoying habit of barking, lack of attention, and practically strangling herself to get to other dogs on the street. There are more annoying things, but these are main ones.
I did some research and came across a company called Sit Means Sit. They are franchised nationwide, and luckily, there is one in the Austin-San Antonio area.
Last night my family, BF and I attended a murder mystery event at Maggiano’s . We had been to previous murder mystery shows in Los Angeles when we visited on vacation years back, but never in San Antonio. Thinking it’d be something different and fun, we signed up.
We arrived and registered and were then escorted to our table. Since we were such a large group, we had our own. During the first hour of the ‘show’, we were told to mingle with guests asking them questions about what they do, where there from, if they are packing heat… (no kidding)… to collect clues and information to form a suspect list. ”Trust know one,” they said.
About a week ago, BF and I decided to bust out our inner “grill master” and make some kabobs. Since neither one of us likes to spend much time preparing and/or cooking, we bought the prepackaged chicken & veggie and steak & veggie kabobs from H.E.B.
We planned on using the grill out by our complex’s pool since we didn’t own one of our own. With our kabobs, tongs, and beer in hand, we made our way to the grill.
“This is gonna be fun,” we said to each other. “These kabobs look really good!” Continue reading
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, this I am well aware. Half of the reason is I’ve felt less than inspired to share anything worthwhile with you. The other half, unfortunate life events. However, this morning I’ve decided to break the silence.
It’s with a heavy heart I’m writing this post this AM. Monday morning, my loving grandfather passed away after a long battle with cancer. Unfortunately, this does not come as a shock as he’s been sick for some time now, however, the moment a loved one finally passes is always hard to accept. Continue reading
Boyfriend is getting ready to leave on a study abroad trip for grad school and I can’t help but feel 1) nervous about him going to South America and 2) a little jealous that he gets to go on vacation. I wanna go! I wanna go! Continue reading
Yesterday afternoon, something strange happened. I had just gotten out of the shower after a few hours of laying out in the sun and was settling down for a relaxing Sunday evening when I heard a knock at the door.
It wasn’t just any kind of knock, though. It was a rhythmic knock as if the person on the other side was familiar with me. A friendly knock, you could say. I figured it was BF coming over to hang out because he was bored.
I checked the peephole since I wasn’t expecting anyone. I noticed that the man at the door was not BF, but a young gentleman in business clothes.
Uh….. I’m not going to open the door. Continue reading
I haven’t had much to write about lately. I hate it when that happens. Writer’s block always hits me at inopportune times.
I always feel like I leave y’all in the dust with no hope for tomorrow when you don’t have a post to open from Green Eggs and Sam! Ok, that’s a little dramatic. However, I know you guys subscribe to read this for a reason and that’s (hopefully) my writing, and when I don’t write I feel like I’m doing you a diservice. We certainly don’t want that.
