Luna is a hyper dog. Everyone should be fully aware of this by now. She’s got more energy than the Energizer Bunny.
I’m working today on my bed when Luna sees this dog pass by outside. She proceeds to leap off the bed and tries to jump on the 2-in x 2-in window sill. She failed and ended up running into the window, kind of like birds do. When she bounced off and continued to bark, an idea struck me! (Funny how that worked…)
What calms dogs down? MUSIC! I then took to the trusted inter-web. In other words, I Googled it. Continue reading
On my morning walk with Luna I came across a woman who needed some help. Stranded on the side of the busy street in front of my complex, she was on the sidewalk attempting to open a gas container to put in her gas-less car.
As I approached her, I debated on whether I should stop or not. Finally realizing it’d be real mean of me to pass directly by her without offering assistance, I spoke up. Continue reading
Luna and her friend Avery, a 6-month-old Pit Bull mix. They love to run and play with each other.
Luna and I frequent the dog park daily. Sometimes twice a day depending on the weather and how long Luna has slept. We’re lucky enough to have a dog park in our complex complete with a doggy swimming pool, a great feature for the pups, especially during the Texas summers. Continue reading
Networking- It’s a major part of anyone’s career regardless of the industry you’re in. Lately I’ve tried to branch out and join different organizations and attend volunteer activities and other community events to make friends,
as well as potential business connections. I have to say I’ve enjoyed all the events so far.
Last year I attended my first Corgi event - “Pawdi Gras 2013“. This year, Bluebonnet Bunk’n Biscuit hosted another all-Corgi gathering this past weekend and you know I had to go.
Let me just say I had prepared for this event for a month so when Saturday rolled around, I had my “game gear” on.
Cogri necklace, shirt, and real-life Corgi.
Can you believe how big this can of tomato sauce is?
Last night I visited with my Nana. We decided to get together and drink wine and cook dinner. Needless to say, we had a great time catching up!
Nana is a huge fan of Giada De Laurentiis and records her cooking show. The other day she watched as Giada made a vegetarian pasta dish: baked penne with roasted vegetables. This recipe was the bomb diggity! It didn’t take too long to make, and by the time it popped out of the oven we were ready to dig in.
Take a look at our cooking adventure.
This weekend was a whirlwind! I had a lot of things going on, which I liked.
Friday night I helped host an SMU Alumni dinner at Bliss for the San Antonio Chapter. I love going to these alumni events because I enjoy connecting with fellow Mustangs. It’s great to compare stories about what it was like attending SMU while learning new things about the school from other alumni. Continue reading
